Our Venture to Hardware Ranch

Crae's family came to visit us over the weekend and we made a trip up to Hardware Ranch. It was really fun! The kids loved seeing the elk. There were so many of them and you were so close you could literally hear them breath. (and smell their poop!) It was a great time. Thanks guys for coming to visit us! We had so much fun.

Happy Valentine's Day

Our romantic Valentine's Day Dinner!!

We decided to do a Valentine's dinner with our girls this year. They helped make the center piece (red pipe cleaners bent into heart shapes and stuck into a ball of play dough), and they decorated with balloons. We had a heart shaped pizza and heart shaped brownies for dessert. They loved it.

Who eats more sweets? Me! He likes his daily chocolate chip cookies, but I like everything with chocolate!
Who said I love you first? He did. I thanked him!
Who is taller? He is - by a long shot!
Who can sing better? Neither of us can really sing. But I would have to say he sounds a lot better than I do.
Who is smarter? I hate to admit it, but he is. He can figure anything out - usually in half the time it takes me. It really drives me crazy!
Who does the laundry? Me, but he sometimes helps fold it. (when it is all piled on the bed and he cannot go go bed until it is folded!!)
Who pays the bills? I pay our personal bills, he pays the business ones. (It works well)
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? He does
Who mows the lawn? He usually does. I like to, but sometimes I cannot get the lawnmower started!
Who cooks dinner? I do mostly, but he will occasionally.
Who drives? Usually him.
Who is more stubborn? Me - no question!
Who kissed who first? He kissed me, but I didn't object!
Who asked who out first? He asked me, then got nervous and asked my roommates to go too. Luckily they didn't!!
Who proposed? He did. So creative!
Who has more siblings? He does. I only have one sister, he has three sisters.
Who wears the pants? I do. After about 6 months of marriage, someone had to put them on, and I think they fit well!!

We Love Cache Valley!

Today, we looked out the window and this is what was in our backyard. I took this picture from our living room window. Because of the snow, we are getting so many deer coming down into our sub-division. This is one reason we love living close to the mountains. (We live down from Providence Canyon). This still doesn't make me love the snow right now though!! I am ready for the snow to melt, flowers to bloom, and the deer to go back up to the mountains where they ought to be!!

Will It Ever End??

Jaycie asks me everyday if it is Spring yet. We are really getting tired of all this snow! (not Crae though - he would have snow all year if it was up to him. He loves to snowmobile!) Is there such a thing as too much snow? I know we need the moisture, but holy cow, my kids cannot even play in the snow without sinking up to their waists. I just can't believe how much it has snowed in the past month! I feel like our house is getting buried. When is Spring again?
